The HD-16R "Adirondack" Guitar from C.F.Martin & Co.
The most exciting dreadnought guitars that have been introduced recently are the two new C.F. Martin "16 Series" instruments featuring historic Adirondack Red Spruce tops. Finally, we have affordable dreadnoughts that rival instruments that sell for several times as much! The power, warmth, and depth of voice of these guitars will please anyone searching for that classic pre-war sound so important to Bluegrass pickers! Pictured here is the Rosewood version, the HD-16R Adirondack. The other model, the D-16 Adirondack, is similar, but features solid mahogany back and sides. Some of the specifications we are particularly impressed with include: the Solid Adirondack top, Solid Adirondack 5/16" Scalloped Top Braces, the Modified "V" Neck Shape, 1-3/4" width at the nut, & 2-1/4 width at the 12th fret, and the High Gloss finish with a Vintage Toner Top Finish!
